Our Dear Friends in Jesus,

MARANATHA! COME LORD JESUS! (Rev. 22:20)

Advent is here! ‘Tis a time of deeper pondering, praying and loving Jesus with Mary and Joseph. The Father’s Word, Jesus Christ, is coming to live within each one of us in a new and wonder-filled way. When the angel Gabriel greeted Mary, saying: “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!” (Lk 1:28) Mary was frightened. Gabriel reassuring her, said: “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” (Lk 1:30)

The the Angel told her: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the Power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy the Son of God.” (Lk 1:35)

Our heavenly Father wanted Mary to know He loved her personally, and was very pleased with her and would overshadow her with is Holy Spirit so that she would become the mother of His only begotten Son, Jesus.

Whoever you are and wherever you are, do you know that our Father in heaven loves you personally and that He wants you to believe and know that He is very pleased with you? God loves you so much that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to live within you, to encourage you, enlighten and enkindle you personally with His love. If you, like Mary, are afraid, Jesus is with you to heal you of your fear. He promises you: “If you abide in Me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you.” (Jn. 15:7)

You are never alone. Jesus is always with you.

Speak heart-to-Heart to Jesus. Christ listens to you; listen to Jesus. In the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, offer yourself with Jesus to the Father. With Mary and Joseph, you will experience God’s Word:

“With God nothing will be impossible.” (Lk.1:37)

angel We, the Hermits of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, are praying for you. In the name of Jesus, we ask our Lord to overshadow you with His Holy Spirit during this Advent season and for the rest of your life.
