Mystery Creates History
"IS ANYTHING TOO MARVELOUS FOR THE LORD TO DO?" – Gen 18:14
In God’s Providence (14 of 14)
The “midnight flame” destroyed only to rebuild. In the rebuilding of the chapel and the Carmel, Jesus, Our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph were and are in the crucible of the challenge. The true Midnight Flame is the Holy Spirit, burning, cleansing, purifying in each Hermit of Carmel, all that resists Christ’s healing, transforming touch. April 21, 2003, was a true blessing: we were profoundly honored and grateful to have our Prior General, the Most Rev. Joseph Chalmers celebrate the Eucharist with co-celebrants Frs. William Harry, Councilor for North America and Northern Europe, and John-Benedict Weber, Delegate for the Hermits and Nuns. In this Mass of Thanksgiving, we praised God for the awesome blessings of our aggregation into the Order of Carmel and of the reconstruction of our chapel. Is Anything to Marvelous for The Lord to Do?
